Advanced functional Materials Team

The team has been engaged in basic research, application research, achievement transformation, and industrialization research on advanced functional materials for special application scenarios such as ocean and nuclear power, including marine special anti-corrosion and anti-fouling coating materials, marine biological fouling inhibition mechanisms, extraction and separation and purification of uranium resources in the ocean, electrochemical sensors, electrolysis (sea) water for hydrogen production, energy storage materials and devices, and other fields. The team possesses complete scientific research and engineering capabilities from advanced functional material design and synthesis, structural analysis, analogue simulation, laboratory performance evaluation, service behavior evaluation, seawater performance evaluation, to mass production, and has profound theoretical and applied research accumulation. The team has undertaken more than 30 National Key R&D Program of China, international cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, key/general projects of the National Natural Science Foundation Joint Fund, key projects for infrastructure enhancement, and basic scientific research projects, and has won 2 first prizes and 3 second prizes in Heilongjiang Province’s Awards for Natural Sciences. The team members have published more than 300 SCI academic papers in international high-level journals, authorized more than 50 Chinese invention invention patents, including 8 patent conversions, and won one gold prize and one silver prize in International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva.
